While Prince William and Kate Middleton prepare for their Royal wedding the search is on for the lucky leading lady who will be chosen to play Kate in an upcoming TV film about the couple.
Lifetime television's film “William and Kate” is due to go into production in LA in two weeks time and while the roles of Prince William and Prince Charles are said to have already been cast, who will play Kate Middleton remains a mystery.
New Zealand actor Nico Evers-Swindell is to take the lead as the 28 year old prince William. The actor is little known but has appeared in small parts on both “Law & Order” and “NCIS: Los Angeles" while his father Prince Charles is to be played by British actor Ben Cross who is known for his role in “Chariots of Fire”.
The “William and Kate” movie is due to hit the small screen before the wedding on April 29 and will chart the couples friendship and the romance that developed during their time as students at the University of Saint Andrews in Scotland where the pair studied.
According to Lifetime Television it will also tell the story of the media and social pressure that their relationship has been through since the couple went public.
Lifetime Television may be making a film but there are already a number of shows planned to be aired State side in dedication to the Royal wedding including a BBC America special “Royally Mad” with Cat Deeley and a weeks worth of celebratory programmes have been planed to take place in the lead up to the big day by the Wedding Central television channel.
