Canadian pop star Justin Bieber has declared that he has no interest in dating Hailee Steinfield as he would prefer to date an older woman.

Justin Bieber, who is 16 years old, told Jay Leno on “The Tonight Show” that Hailee Steinfield is too young for him at 14 years old as he will be turning 17 in less than a month.

Speculation into a possible romance between the couple began when the teen couple presented an award together at the Golden Globes awards last week which saw the pop star and the Oscar nominated actress of “True Grit” fame taking to the stage together.

Later Bieber tweeted “Met at the Globes and she is super talented. CONGRATS to Hailee Steinfield for being 14 and getting nominated for an OSCAR for TRUE GRIT! Now Hailee get a twitter.”

Justin told the chat show host that he thought Hailee was “really nice and really talented” and said that he thought she was “cute” but when it came to the possibility of a romantic connection between the two bright young stars Justin ruled it out on the grounds of Hailee being too young and put his twitter message down to being friendly and not flirty.
