Singers Adele and Ke$ha are showing that girls rule as the pair top the UK charts this week with Adele topping the album chart and Ke$ha riding high on the singles chart.

American singer Ke$ha went straight into the UK chart at number one with her catchy “We R Who We R” making this the first number one spot for the singer on her own. She had previously notched up a number one in 2009 when she featured on “Right Round” with Flo Rida.

Ke$sha pushed Bruno Mars off then top spot who now lies at number two with his song “Grenade” out selling his single by more than 20% while Adele is in at number three with her single “Rolling In The Deep.”

The single comes from her debut album “Animal and Cannibal” and follows her previous single “Take It Off” which peaked at number 15 in August 2010.

Although it is doubtful that Adele will be feeling too sad about falling on the singles chart as the British singer has come in at number one on the album chart.

Even by the middle of last week the singer had sold more than the rest of the top ten albums put together with over 100,000 album sales on Monday and Tuesday alone.

21 is the second album from the critically acclaimed singer whose first album 19 continues to remain in the top ten also finished at a very respectable number four, three years after it was first released.
