Singer/Songwriter pens country classic on alcohol addiction Dedicated to the memory of the many great recording artists who fell prey to the curse of drugs and alcohol, “One Shot at a Time” tells a moving story about a young country superstar’s fall from grace.

“One Shot at a Time” brings to mind Keith Whitley, one of the greatest singers Nashville has ever produced. Whitley passed away at 33 after a short but brilliant career and the lyrics tell a poignant story from the opening line, “By the time he was 29 he had it made”. While the song praises its main character “He could sing like a homesick angel”, writer Lloyd Tosoff uses a clever turn of phrase to hit home the song’s message that whiskey can kill you one shot at a time. Listening to this song will convince you that Tosoff is a writer with a prowess for great hooks and keeping it real.

The well-produced tracks from his upcoming album offer a distinctive brand of roots Americana reminiscent of Westcoast country and Southern rock bands of the 1970s. “One Shot at a Time” is the lead single that offers radio the classic country sound many say is on the rise in the country scene.

Lloyd Tosoff is a singer/songwriter with great things to come so watch for “One Shot at a Time” on CDX Nashville volume 626 and for Lloyd’s upcoming CD, titled “Road to Somewhere” coming in spring 2016.
