It may be difficult to believe but it’s been 20 years since we were first introduced to the phenomenon that was the Spice Girls.

To celebrate this milestone, Ripley’s Believe it or Not in Blackpool will be holding a special exhibition imaginatively entitled 'Spiceworld the Exhibition'.

It is set to be an unmissable trip for Spice Girls fans to take as it will include lots of interesting and rare items from the girls’ heyday.

Amongst the memorabilia on show will be outfits that the girls wore as well as awards that they achieved. All items are part of artist Liz West’s vast and record breaking collection. She holds the Guiness World Record for most items in one collection – over 5000 and every single item will be on display as part of the exhibition.

The exhibition is due to run between March 24 and June 26.

It’s a special year for the Spice Girls – 20 years since they first exploded onto the scene and into pop culture with their debut single Wannabe.

The girls have each enjoyed their own successful, and some unsuccessful ventures since they disbanded but they have got back together to mark special occasions over the years and this is something that Mel B is hoping will happen once again.

She said in a recent interview: "I think it would be a shame not to do something to celebrate our 20th anniversary, but nothing has been announced."

Other members of the group, most notably Victoria Beckham, have voiced their opinion that they are less than enthusiastic to reunite, even temporarily.

Whatever happens to mark the occasion, it is one that changed the face of pop music forever and left us with the legacy of Girl Power, spawning a generation of pseudo-feminists. Happy Anniversary girls!
