Jessie J has stormed into the UK single charts and straight into the number one spot pushing Ke$ha down to number three and leaving Bruno Mars at number two.

The single by Jessie J, “Price Tag” has reached the top spot just weeks after her debut “Do It Like A Dude” went in at number two.

By mid week Jessie J was already outselling all the other songs in the chart and fended off competition from the other hot release of the week “Tonight” by Enrique Iglesias which came in at number five.

It was revealed earlier this week that the debut album by Jessie J is due to be released earlier than planned and has been brought forward by one month to February 28 with the rising star due to collect the prestigious “Critics Choice” award at the Brit Awards to take place on February 15.

Previous winners of the “Critics Choice” award include Adele in 2008 who has managed to remain on top in the album charts with her second album “21” with her debut offering “19” still riding high in the top five this week.

Also featuring in the album chart is a new collection of songs by Eva Cassidy, who died back in 1996. The album entered the chart at number six reaffirming her continued popularity.
