LA-indie band 222 hit the stage at Club Moscow in Hollywood, CA on June 15th at 10:30 pm for a night of raucous pop punk influenced rock mixed with current techno influences. 222 is offering free admission to the show on their guest list if you sign up for the mailing list at www. 222band.com. Known for creating innovative and provocative music videos, 222 do not disappoint with the latest visual presentation for the new single Pick Up Line from their debut CD Libretto. The LA band conceives, directs, films and edits their videos to deliver a true artistic representation of their music.

The video captures the imagery of Pick Up Line, a song about phone sex, with lead singer Jade Howard instigating the action and bandmate Dennis Hamlin along for the ride. From the thumping groove of the song’s opening to the intensity of this two and a half minute pop gem, this is one phone call you don’t want to miss.

222 is Jade Howard and Dennis Hamlin. The duo wrote and recorded the songs on Libretto themselves in their home studio with the only other credit on the album going to Frank Rosato who mixed the record. Hamlin being the song writer and Howard sculpting the art, together they are a prolific duo drawing their musical influences from books, movies and life experiences. The songs on Libretto play much like an opera in that every song is a story. Yet don’t let the opera reference fool you, the album is a collection of songs that will move and groove you from start to finish.

222 is performing at the Springboard Music Fest in Houston on June 23rd, 24th and 25th and is touring the U.S., UK, and Australia this summer/fall. The band has built a solid following across the country and have enjoyed radio play on alternative radio stations including KROQ in LA. They have been featured in LA Buzz Bands and LA Deli Magazine as band of the month.
