For lovers of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac,  Ian Martyn's expressive and greatly inspiring new single 'I Can Feel Your Power' epitomises the  support and comfort that art can bring to people especially at their darkest times in life. In Ian's case it’s living with the earth shattering experience of losing both his wife and mother in the space of just 5 months.

As well as using his dreams to inspire his lyrics (I Can Feel Your Power) he visited a Tibetan monastery in Scotland to study Buddhism in order to help him manage the difficulties of his new life. At the monastery he had the unusual experience of meeting a soul-mate and felt a severe case of' Déjà Vu'.

Ian Martyn's unique approach to writing his music is that of writing the lyrics as a wholly meaningful and poetic piece of literature, so beautiful that the words alone just scream out for music. Ian's music aids the healing process of any kind of personal strife or bereavement and is the perfect soundtrack to finding a new directions in life.

Although Ian doesn't gig or tour he has some very notable people who have performed on his music. Richie Buckley (from Van Morrison) played the  saxophone on the track 'Déjà vu' who Peter Eades (Clannad) also performed drums on. Larry Hogan, Ian’s co-producer, on ‘I Can Feel Your Power’ and ‘Déjà vu’ has worked with Clannad, Thin Lizzy, Bob Geldof, Ronan Keating, to name but a few.

His other co-producer Richard 'Digby' Smith  for 6 of the other album tracks  also played some bass and supporting keyboards on some tracks. ‘Digby' has worked on such artists music as Bad Company's Album, Led Zeppelin's 3rd and 4th albums, Bob Marley, Eric Clapton, Cat Stevens, John Martyn (many more of note) and humbly possesses 2 Gold Disc awards and has had 2 No.1’s simultaneously worldwide that he engineered.

Alongside his emotional life journey Ian features international artists for his music artwork. Some artists worthy of note are Jack Vettriano (on 'Why Don't You Tell Me'), Leonid Afremov and Sera Knight (on 'You Are The One'), Laurie Hamilton, Adam Scott Miller, Delmary and (on 'I Can Feel Your Power') Daniel Eskridge (on 'Dance With Spirits'), Rassouili and Josephine Wall (on 'Déjà Vu').

They have all said they are delighted and honoured to have a share in Ian's journey and adding an extra dimension to Ian's enlightening music.
