LOS ANGELES - Adam’s Attic, Alien Chadow Films in association with Indie Rights Movies and Industry Pictures/ThinkFilmWest presents the world premiere of “A Night Without Armor” at the Arena Cinema in Hollywood, Calif., on Friday, April 21, at 7:45 p.m. Directed by Steven Alexander, the drama stars New York-based actors, Pepper Binkley and Jacob Fishel.

“A Night Without Armor” features ten songs from the independent, internationally touring pop/rock band, Adam’s Attic. The four-piece band formed in New Orleans and relocated to Los Angeles following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.  The film was aptly named after the song, “A Night Without Armor,” in the band’s catalog because it accurately reflects the heart of this dramatic story. Adam’s Attic consists of Joe Henry, Derek Henry, Scott Boaz and Frank DeSalvo.

“A Night Without Armor” is a romantic drama about a chance encounter when least expected. Love is confusing until the right one comes along. One magical evening changes everything. While watching a meteor shower during the course of one night, Adam, portrayed by Fishel, is unexpectedly accompanied by a free spirited, vulnerable woman named Nicole, played by Binkley. When asked about his attraction to the role, Fishel responds, “A good guy is navigating an impossible situation trying to maintain a sense of right and wrong. His mind is saying one thing, but his heart is saying another. It’s very rare that you actually get to delve into that to the depth that this screenplay does.  It’s only two people.  There’s a lot of dialogue.  It’s a long journey that you go on with these two people in one night.”

“A Night Without Armor” is the debut film for the production company, Alien Chadow Films, LLC, and screenplay writer Chaun J. Domingue, a New Orleans native, was inspired to write screenplays after the events surrounding Hurricane Katrina. The movie’s setting was filmed in its entirety at the historic Fort Jackson in Plaquemines Parish located in Buras, La. Alexander is an American filmmaker who has written, directed, and produced the feature film “Behavior,” along with numerous music videos and commercials. Binkley is an American actress who has appeared in numerous films including “Stone,” “The Kitchen,” “Asylum Seekers,” and “Morning Glory” and in many television shows such as “The Good Wife,” “All My Children,” “Law and Order: Criminal Intent,” and “The Following.” Fishel is an American film and stage actor who has starred in films like “How I Got Lost” and “Across the Sea” and has appeared in “Without a Trace,” “Numb3ers,” “Medium” and “Cold Case”.

“A Night Without Armor” will have a limited screening at the Arena Cinema located at 6464 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles.  The red carpet begins at 6:30 p.m. The film will be available on DVD and BluRay at participating retailers. It will be released digitally on iTunes, Amazon, Hulu, FandangoNow, GooglePlay, Vudu, YouTube, Xbox and Playstation. The film can be followed on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for future announcements and additional screenings.
