The US version of the hit television talent show, X-factor will be beginning the first auditions for the show next month.
Fox television has announced that the first audition for the tv show will be taking place at the Los Angeles Sports Arena on March 27 with further auditions to be held in Miami, Newark, New Jersey, Seattle, Chicago and Dallas.
Singers from as young as 12 years old will be able to take part in the auditions with the final winner of the show promised the largest tv competition pay out ever of five million dollars.
Meanwhile X-Factor boss Simon Cowell has reportedly secured a position for Cheryl Cole on the X-Factor judging panel stateside.
The deal will reportedly see Cheryl Cole receive half a million pounds for her part in the show with Simon Cowell backing her despite US tv executives being worried hat her accent would be too strong for American viewers to be able to understand.
The rumours have been added too by former X-Factor judge Sharon Osbourne who said: “Cheryl and Simon Cowell are the only two confirmed for the US X-Factor so far. They won't be doing the UK show, I'm pretty certain,” she told The Mirror newspaper.
She then added: “Simon is going to decide at the last minute who he wants to complete the panel but Mariah Carey is still in the frame.”
Regarding her Geordie accent Sharon Osbourne said: “Americans won't understand a bloody word of unadulterated Geordie. But with a little help – and those gorgeous Bambi eyes – she will win the audience over. Cheryl will be great.”
“She needs to know what she can and can't say, but after that it'll be plain sailing. And she has Simon's full backing so she will be just fine, no matter what.”
