It has been moths of will she won't she speculation but it finally seems to be over for Cheryl Cole as it has been reported that she has missed out on the role as a judge on the upcoming X-Facor show to be screened in the US in the autumn.
Instead of taking one of the coveted seats it is reported that Cheryl Cole will instead take on the roll as Simon Cowell's helper on the show, similar to he role played currently by Sinitta in the UK version.
A source told the Daily Star Sunday: “People just don´t know who she is over there and people struggle to understand what she is saying. Simon is consoling her with the offer of helping him win the first series, which would give her profile a massive boost.”
The singers strong Geordie accent was always looking like being a problem for US viewers with TV chiefs at the Fox Network concerned that nobody would be able to understand Cheryl through her thick northern accent.
Reportedly voice coaches had been brought in to make Cheryl sound more American but it does not seem to have been enough because it is now reported that British supermodel Naomi Campbell will be taking her place on the show, dashing any final dreams that Cheryl may have had of breaking America through the X-Factor.
