(San Francisco, CA, August, 18, 2017)  Katie Garibaldi, along with director, Anna Haas, have won a prestigious Award of Merit from The Accolade Global Film Competition. The award was given for Garibaldi and Haas endearing music video, Delightful, which is the official video from singer/songwriter Katie Garibaldis latest release, Rooted Clarity. Delightful, which was filmed in Nashville, TN, features a strong message of independence and finding happiness in the little things of every day life.

*im very grateful to the Accolade Global Film Competition for honoring Delightful with such a humbling award. Im a songwriter so to be able to experience a part of the film world through my music video has been very inspiring and exciting for me, says Garibaldi. The inspiration for my song Delightful came from actually feeling used by people and questioning why I was letting other people's negativity bother me so much. As I wrote the song, I felt less and less inclined to write a sad song and turned the mentality into: I know who I am and we're all the same inside. We control our own happiness and shouldn't let outside circumstances determine it. Let's shine our light inside out, recognize the light in others, and be delightful to each other. That's the message of the song.

Garibaldi continues, The music video's director, Anna Haas, applied the idea of choosing one's own happiness to a story about a romantic relationship for the film. When Anna was pitching me the idea, I understood that the story of a broken heart that could still shine was something a lot of people could relate to. But in the end, I think the video ended up being more about the relationship we have with ourselves, which I love. I feel like the message is strong and empowering, for everyone but especially for young women.
