Organisers have announced that The Chemical Brothers will be the headlining act at the upcoming Creamfields festival to be held at Daresbury in Cheshire on August 27 and 28.
While the duo are expected to be the main draw to the dance music festival held on the bank holiday weekend, other acts sure to create a stir include Davis Guetta, Swedish House Mafis, Magnetic Man, Calvin Harris and dance industry icon Josh Wink.
Recently voted by Mixmag as the best DJ of all time, Tiesto will also be headlining the Clublife stage while Paul Van Dyk, Eric Prydz, Pete Oakenfold and Pete Tong will also be making an appearance on the decks for the festival.
Radio One DJ Annie Mac made the announcement on her show and will also be making an appearance at the festival.
Tens of thousands of dance music fans are expected to take part in the weekend with this being the last chance for UK festival goers to see The Chemical Brothers at an open air live event this year.
2011 is shaping up to be one of the best years ever for the festival which is held between Warrington and Runcorn in the north west of the UK near Liverpool, the home of Cream. Organisers have announced that there will be two new sages added to the site to provide space for even more performers over the weekend.
The Chemical Brothers said: “It has been a few years since we performed at Creamfields and we're excited to be back up north for this very special event which will be our last outdoor show in the UK this year.”
