Bob Dylan back on the festival scene
- in Latest
Legendary musician and music industry icon Bob Dylan will be taking to the stage once again this summer as the headlining act in the London Feis festival.
The festival, which will be new to the scene this year, is said to be trying to recreate the famous spirit of the long running Fleadh shows with Bob Dylan to be key to its success.
London Feis will be taking place in the capital in Finsbury Park in June and the organisers promise that this will be the only appearance by Bob Dylan this year in the UK.
The original Fleadh officially came to an end in 2004 after 14 years but organiser Vince Power has revived the festival and will be celebrating 21 years of and showcasing both Irish and international acts at the festival to take place on June 18.
Vince Power is himself no stranger to the music industry as he was the founder of not only the Mean Fiddler Group but also the organiser of the Hop Farm Music Festival.
He said: “The inaugural London Feis will be a fantastic edition to the capitals summer calendar and announcing Bob Dylan for an exclusive UK performance means that the first year will be one to remember.”
Vince Power added: “I have worked with Bob many times before and am delighted to have him back once again.”
