Further Acts Added To the British Summer Time Hyde Park Shows

The British Summer Time Festival staged over three days in Hyde Park, has announced additional acts to the already stellar line-up.

Headlining on Saturday 7 July is The Cure, performing their only European show of the year, and celebrating their 40th anniversary. Joining them as special guests are Interpol, Goldfrapp and The Editors.

Now added to the line-up is Scottish singer-songwriter Kathryn Joseph, South African vocalist Alice Phoebe and experimental rock trio This Will Destroy You.

Further acts include Irish folk artist Lisa Hannigan, who has released three award nominated albums, and Manchester goth rockers Pale Waves, who have recently signed to Interscope Records and are scheduled to release their debut album this year.

Friday 6 July sees Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters headlining, performing songs from the classic albums “Animals”, “The Wall” and “Dark Side Of The Moon”. Support comes from Richard Ashcroft, Seasick Steve and Squeeze.

Newly announced acts include London based duo Lil & Ollie, CC Smugglers who started their career as street buskers, and Scottish folk singer Colin MacLeod.

Also playing on Friday are Slydigs, a rock and roll band from Warrington who will also be supporting The Killers later in the year, and X Ambassadors, a three-piece group from New York, two of whom are brothers, with their keyboardist being blind since birth.

The closing night of the Hyde Park festival is headlined by iconic guitarist Eric Clapton, with special guests Santana, Steve Winwood and Zucchero.

The full line-up now includes country artists Kelly McGrath, Ryan Kinder and Eric Paslay, rock band The Americans and also The Wandering Hearts, known for their close vocal harmonies.

 

The following weekend see's another Hyde Park festival with appearances from Michael Buble, Bruno Mars and Paul Simon.
