We have already had declarations from Nelly Furtado, Beyonce and an embarrassed Mariah Carey and now it is the turn of US rapper 50 Cent to donate money he received from Gaddafi to charity.

It is reported that 50 Cent took to the stage in a private concert for the Gaddafi clan in Venice in 2005 but he has now donated that fee to charity, in line with other stars who have taken a similar stance against the Libyan leader.

In a statement from 50 Cent representatives it is said: “In light of the ongoing event in Libya, 50 Cent will be making a donation to Unicef, which is providing vital relief supplies to meet the needs of women and children at risk during this crisis.”

Beyonce has already spoken out about a New Years Eve party in the Caribbean that she played for the Gaddafi clan while Justin Bieber mentor Usher, was also paid to appear at the same event and will also be making a donation to charity.

Usher said: “I am sincerely troubled to learn about the circumstances surrounding the Nikki Beach St. Bart' event that took place on New Years Eve 2009. I will be donating all my personal proceeds from that event to various human rights organisations.”
