Britain's Got Talent to use YouTube to find talent

UK television talent show Britain's Got Talent, will be using YouTube to find further hopefuls who can now audition online to take part in the popular show.
Producers of the talent show will be picking 20 acts submitted through the video sharing site with these top 20 then being asked to perform in front of the judges on the show.
This year, as Simon Cowell will be focusing on the US X-Factor and Piers Morgan is otherwise engaged, the judges picking their favourites and spotting the possible winners will be Amanda Holden, Michael McIntyre and Knight Rider and Baywatch star David Hasselhoff.
The winner of Britain's Got Talent this year will be performing for the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance.
For those who are interested to see what makes an act stand out for the judges, the shortlisted top 50 acts will be available for fans to view online via the ITV official website and also on a dedicated YouTube channel. From these 50 best a final 20 acts will be chosen to go before the judges in person.
John Kaye Cooper from ITV said: “Britain's Got Talent launches another first as it opens its online auditions and adds an exciting new dimension to the show in our search for the best of Britain's talent.”
Britains' Got Talent is open to performers of any age with applications for the show open until March 24 so there is still to be able to show off your skills and make it onto the show.
The stakes are high as the 2009 runner up of the show, Susan Boyle has gone on to become one of the biggest selling artists in the world, showing that a star really can be born on the show.
