Canadian teen heart throb Justin Bieber has joked about his waxwork which has been revealed at Madame Tussauds.

Bieber has become the latest celebrity to be given the waxwork treatment and unveiled the model during a secret event at the London museum.

On seeing the waxwork version of himself he proclaimed: “Look how much taller I am!” He then added: “It's awesome, it looks great. It's pretty unbelievable really.”

The “Never Say Never” star then went on to joke with the model of himself saying “What, Punk? What?”

While the makers of the model have tried to stay true to the likeness of Justin Bieber the star has actually grown taller since he was first measured up for the waxwork.

The wax Bieber sports a red and black checked shirt and black jeans as well as the famous Bieber bob haircut he had until recently with hair from the cut being auctioned off for charity.

When faced with the dilemma about what to do when Justin Bieber cut off his hair the principal sculptor at Tussauds said that they contacted the singer to see what he would prefer for the model.

Sculptor Colin Jackman said: “We had inserted it all (the hair) then he cut it.”

He added: “We contacted his stylist and him and they wanted to keep it how it is.”

In typical Bieber fashion the internet was once again harnessed to promote the event. For the first time in the history of the museum the unveiling was broadcast live via a special website which was revealed to fans by Bieber via Twitter earlier in the day.

Another two replica models of Justin Bieber have also been simultaneously revealed in the New York and Amsterdam Tussauds museums. Both of the other models are exact replicas except the New York version sees the wax work dressed in clothes donated by the star for the exhibition.
