-And Provides Original Scores, Sound Design, and A Nearly 3,000 Track Production Music Library to Diverse Client Base

Rapidly rising “Audio Story-Tellers” Temp Love are celebrating their 5-Year Anniversary with a new home base, having relocated into the historic 32Ten Studios site in San Rafael (Marin County) California. The announcement was made by Temp Love Co-Owners John McDermott and Christian Hanlon.

A young, up and coming music company built from years of experience, the Temp Love team, comprised of 20 audio professionals nationwide – composers, mixers, music supervisors, and music legal specialists – brings a holistic audio approach to every one of their clients’ productions.

With their brand new creative and production studios at the legendary 32Ten Studios (the birthplace of George Lucas’s Industrial Light and Magic, and the site of numerous “Star Wars”- related film productions), Temp Love offers clients the ability to craft the perfect sounding score for each of their productions, ranging from the grandest orchestral movements to the filthiest, untamed, three-chord garage rock imaginable.

Temp Love also owns a one-stop, easy-to-clear, production music library of over 2,750 tracks (and growing), so clients can quickly find just the right song or background music track to enhance their in-progress production or campaign.

To date, the company’s narrative placements within the entertainment industry have included tracks heard within the HBO series “Girls,” A24’s “Obvious Child,” the upcoming FX/Anonymous Content series “Quarter Life Poetry,” and the Academy Award-nominated documentary film “Facing Fear.” Other Temp Love entertainment clients have also included CBS TV and Syfy.

Temp Love regularly works with such top ad agency clients as AKQA, Oglivy, Pereira O’Dell, and Weiden + Kennedy. The company’s direct corporate clients have included Google, LinkedIn, Nestlé, Twitter, Old Navy and Reddit. Additionally, Temp Love has also provided music to promotional campaigns for such other top brands as Target, Nationwide, Titleist, Hidden Valley, and NVIDIA, to name just a few.

At the core of Temp Love stand the company’s Co-Owners, John McDermott and Christian Hanlon, true collaborators and partners-in-crime. They say, “Our passion is telling stories with audio. Whether creating a custom score, finding the perfect song, or inventing compelling and exciting sound design – our goal is to always make the story sing, while having a hell of a lot of fun doing it. We also believe in ‘giving back’ to those who have helped us get to where we are today. In this regard, we regularly donate 10% of all of our license fees to children’s music programs located across the United States.”

ABOUT THE FOUNDERS:

John McDermott has toured the world (and elsewhere!) as a founding member of the band Stroke 9. He has a Gold Record and a BMI Songwriting Award, and has collaborated in the studio with super producers Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads, No Doubt), Rupert Hine (Tina Turner, Bob Geldolf, Stevie Nicks, Rush), and Butch Walker (Taylor Swift, Weezer, Pink).

He’s also worked closely with such top film directors such as Kevin Smith and Ron Howard, yet, somehow managed to pass on a co-write with John Mayer!

Christian Hanlon is a 15-year entertainment industry executive, most recently having served as the Executive Audio Producer at Nestlé Skin Health. There, he oversaw branded audio content for global products totaling over $900-million in yearly sales.

Christian has supervised global audio-driven ad campaigns, featuring appearances and music by Katy Perry, Adam Levine, Diddy, and Tinashe.  As a composer, Christian most recently finished work on his original score behind the upcoming FX/Anonymous Content series “Quarter Life Poetry.”

His biggest claim to fame to date? He once spilled a beer all over Eddie Vedder at a Stereolab show.
