Lady Gaga is massive in the music industry, so much that now she has beaten the Twitter record of 9 million followers. It seems that a new race to have the most Twitter followers has emerged amongst the top stars.

Strong contenders are Justin Bieber and Britney Spears, both artists have shown a strong presence online including Youtube. However it seems Lady Gaga has the edge with Twitter at the moment.

Lady Gaga also holds the record for most online sales and Youtube hits, reaching over 1 billion hits. Biebers thought to be not far behind though closing upto Gaga in the Twitter race.

Lady Gaga has recently posted on her Twitter page, with a comment relating to her birthday saying: 'Happy Birthday to Me'

Gaga also contineud to write to her 9 million followers: "Drawing on table at restaurant. If I had to give it all back, but got to keep my fans, that'd be ok."

Lady Gaga who has just turned 25 today is known for her quirky lifestyle and it seems theres nothing she can do wrong at the moment.

This can only show that music artists are at an all time popularity high when it comes to the internet. As even the biggest film stars or political figures dont come close in terms as 'fans'. Generally demonstrating the power artists like Lady Gaga has.
