Rock & roll veterans Ricky Warwick and Damon Johnson have announced UK dates on their latest duo tour, entitled ‘Sonic Acoustic Attack,’ which will kick off in Stoke on September 25th.

The pair, bandmates in Thin Lizzy offshoot Black Star Riders, have been filling in downtime from their main band with their fun, involving acoustic shows for years now, and fans love the opportunity to experience songs from both of their illustrious careers in a stripped back, intimate style.

Each show will include over two hours of material from the musician’s solo records, as well as cuts from their work with top acts including The Almighty, Thin Lizzy, Alice Cooper, Brother Cane and, of course, BSR. Added to this will be the chance to hear stories and tales from their years on the road, and maybe even some choice covers – a rollicking take on Born To Run springs to mind as a particular highlight of their show at Audio, Glasgow a couple of years back.

Black Star Riders released their third album, Heavy Fire, in 2017. The record was largely written by Warwick and Johnson and achieved success across the world, reaching #1 in the UK Rock and Indie charts as well as #6 in the national chart. It also charted at #6 on the American Hard Rock Chart and in Germany at #11 in the national chart.

The duo is certainly enthused about their latest road trip, “Two hours plus of acoustic carnage and mayhem with brother Johnson?’ said Warwick, ‘Who’d have thought bits of wood with wires could be so sonically invigorating??? ... Well, you’re about to find out!!!”
 
Meanwhile, Johnson is a little more philosophical but no less keen,“Ricky has inspired my musical efforts in so many ways and we have become best mates. These Warwick Johnson performances always showcase our respect for each other and our love of music. And it’s a great night out!”
 
The Sonic Acoustic Attack Tour begins in Sweden in early September and will continue across Europe and the UK until mid-October. Full UK dates are as follows:
