Brent Cobb is bringing the true Nashville sound to Europe as he gets ready to kick off a five-show tour in the United Kingdom this month.

The tour, which is scheduled to hit stages on 4 September, will have country music fans begging for more as Cobb not only introduces listeners to a few new tracks but also throws in a few fan-favorites. Expect to hear Ain’t A Road Too Long and High In the Country, both taken from his latest album, Providence Canyon. Released in May this year, the album has won over die-hard country fans and newbies alike. Cobb had already seen a great response from his previous album Shine On Rainy Day, which saw him receive a Grammy-nomination and a Country Billboard position of 17.

Cobb’s newest release has made waves both in the US and the UK, with many fans calling this one of his most mature albums to date. The Grammy-nominated singer proves once again why he’s managed to climb to the top of country charts time and again, and why he’s regarded as a modern-day pioneer of the genre. With his unique ability to mesh old-time country tones with a new-school feel, Cobb is bringing a fresh, more grounded sound to the genre.

Take 30-06 as an example of this. The track, which can be found on Providence Canyon, has a solid old-timey feel with the sounds of shotguns while throwing in a modern spin on a song which could’ve easily blended in with the multitude of country songs already out there.
