Bristol-based alt-rockers Tax The Heat have announced a string of live dates for December 2018. The new gigs follow the release of the band’s critically acclaimed second album, Change Your Position, on Nuclear Blast Records in March of this year, and the group’s subsequent headlining tour in April.
The album was rapturously received by publications including Classic Rock who said, “You can‘t put a price on self-belief, and Tax The Heat sound so utterly self-assured on this follow-up…you get the feeling that, for them, success is not only inevitable, it‘s already here...” Louder Than War, meanwhile, called it “Proper feel-good rock that will have your foot tapping and the chorus lyrics burned into your hippocampus for decades to come.”
Since forming in 2015 Tax The Heat have become a must-see British rock act, cuts from their debut album, Fed To The Lions, were track listed across rock radio in 2015 and 2016, and the group supported acts such as Reef, The Graveltones, Black Star Riders and Thunder as well as making appearances at Download Festival, 2000 Trees and Ramblin’ Man Fair. The release of Change Your Position, meanwhile, was preceded by the tense, rocking single Money In The Bank and contains standout tracks such as the slow, grooving All That Medicine and the garage-infused On The Run.
Veale is joined in the group by Jack Taylor (Drums) and Antonio Angotti (Bass) as well as guitarist JP Jacyshyn.
