Derbyshire glam-rockers The Struts have dropped a new video for their track Primadonna Like Me - in which the effervescent four-piece indulge in a wild jaunt around the casinos of Caesar’s Palace Hotel in Las Vegas.

 With sparkling footage shot in the hotel’s glistening halls, glimpses of the band interacting with raucous, excitable fans, and footage taken from the band’s recent sold-out headline show in San Diego the film is a glorious celebration of rock & roll excess – there’s even a (knife throwing!) cameo from the King of Shock Rock himself, Alice Cooper.

The track comes hot on the heels of the recent announcement of the band’s new album, Young & Dangerous which will be released on October 26th via Polydor Records. The record is the sequel to their critically-lauded 2014 debut album Everybody Wants. Young & Dangerous promises to include even more of the riff-heavy, stomping, anthemic music that has taken the band all the way from Derby to LA, having conquered much of the touring circuit in between while opening for huge bands like The Rolling Stones, The Who and Guns N Roses.

This week the band also made their biggest TV appearance to date, appearing on American Idol where they played hit single Could Have Been Me as well as a cover of Janis Joplin’s Piece Of My Heart with Idol finalist Courtney Hadwin in front of an audience of 12 million people.

“Not long ago we flew from the UK straight to Las Vegas and shot a music video in the early hours of the morning,” frontman Luke Spiller says, “Rolling around the casinos and a huge penthouse, we had a lot of fun with ‘Primadonna Like Me.’ Not quite sure how we managed to pull this off, but here it is for your own viewing pleasure.
