X Factor judge and music mogul Simon Cowell has joined people from around the world in congratulating Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle on her 50^th birthday.

Fans from around the world have already sent their best wishes to Susan Boyle who is said to be inviting a number of celebrities to mark the milestone birthday for the dinger who found fame with Britain's Got Talent.

It is reported that Susan Boyle will be hosting her own party back in her home town of Blackburn in West Lothian, Scotland to which she has invited her close friends and family as well as a number of well known faces.

Susan Boyle said: “I am looking forward to turning 50. There's not much I can do about it but I am happy to be reaching this birthday. I guess I am living proof that none of us know what is around the corner and, while I may have started a little late, I really hope I can be around for a wee while longer!”

She added: “I have had some wonderful moments throughout my life, especially over the past two years, and I would like to thank everyone for their kindness and encouragement. I wouldn't be here without it and I appreciate every single day.”

Susan Boyle is currently recording her third album with her previous two offerings making her one of the biggest selling artists in the world as fans from across the globe have fallen in love with her singing talents and spectacular rise to fame which has seen her go from rags to riches thanks to a TV talent show.

Simon Cowell, who helped to discover Susan on Britain's Got Talent sent his own special message of congratulations. He said: “Happy 50^th birthday, Susan. You are an amazing lady and I hope you have a fantastic day.”
