Girls Aloud singer and UK X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has spoken out about having cravings for her favourite UK treats while she is working in the US.
The Geordie star, who is reported not to be taking part in the American version of the X Factor due to TV bosses believing that her accent is too strong for US viewers to be able to understand, told Glamour magazine that the US treats simply don't hit the spot.
Cheryl Cole said: “American chocolate is awful! It's like wax. I have to get some Dairy Milk or Galaxy brought out. As for their KitKats – I don't know how they can even call them KitKats.”
Cheryl also said that she was missing other home comforts including her favourite brand of tea: “Ringtons tea from Newcastle is the best,” she said, “I always ask my family to bring me some when they visit.”

However, on the interview Cheryl seemed unconcerned about the uncertainty in her professional life.
She said: “I really have no plan. I've had my life mapped out for the best part of 10 years, so for now I just want to enjoy myself and live in the moment.”
