Operation Mindcrime, the group founded and led by former Queensrÿche frontman Geoff Tate will tour the UK in November/December in celebration of the 30th Anniversery of the landmark album for which they're named. The shows will see the band perform the Grammy nominated 1988 album in it's entirety.

Tate fronted Queensrÿche for three decades over thirteen albums which boldly defined progressive metal. He left in 2012 amid acrimonious circumstances which briefly led to two versions of the band hitting the road. A court settlement allowed Tate to perform Operation Mindcrime in full, and adopt the album's title as his new band name. Ever an adventurous, boundary-pushing artist, his new project is no nostalgia exercise, with the new group releasing three brand new albums to date (‘The Key’ in 2015, ‘Resurrection’ in 2016 and 2017's ‘The New Reality’) as well as celebrating the frontman's iconic history.

Operation: Mindcrime is a unique work: a conceptual rock opera about a recovering drug addict which defined progressive metal and put Tate's expert lyrics and socially conscious views in the spotlight. With the namesake group's early 2018 tour receiving rave reviews, Tate and co are back for more before the year ends.

The tour will feature two support acts, Until Death Do Is Part which features Geoff Tate's daughter Emily and Scottish musician Kieran Robertson who together create an exciting new form of synth heavy rock, and Mark Daly, the powerul hard rock songwriter from Cork who released his debut solo album, When Stars Align, last month.
