New York blues songstress Sari Schorr has been announced for a show at London's prestigious 100 Club during Blues Week 2019 in the UK capital. She will play the venue on Friday 18th January, topping a co-headline bill that will see her joined by Sharrie Williams - the Princess Of Rockin' Gospel Blues.

Schorr released her much anticipated sophomore album this year to great acclaim. Classic Rock Magazine said of 'Never Say Never' ”Schorr can sing ‘em. All husk and muscle, the operatically trained New Yorker makes you believe every stormy line of this game-changing album.”

Schorr first made her mark on the blues scene with her blistering debut in 2016. Force Of Nature was overseen by pioneering producer Mike Vernon (David Bowie, Eric Clapton, John Mayall, Fleetwood Mac, Peter Green) and recorded with former Robert Plant guitarist Innus Sibun. Her new album, meanwhile, was recorded live in the studio - the better to capture the raw energy of the music - with her crack new band featuring Ash Wilson (guitar), Bob Fridzema (keys), Roy Martin (drums) and Mat Beable (bass). On tracks like Freedom and The New Revolution they conjure a tough but slick blues/rock vibe as Schorr rails against the madness of the times we live in, while on Back To LA and Beautiful she delves deeper than ever into her personal life for heartfelt, sometimes heartbreaking meditations on life.

From humble beginnings, Sari Schorr spent many years working her way up in the fierce South Bronx scene and Manhatten's Lower East Side - eventually even performing at the iconic Carnegie Hall. She's fiery, passionate and honest - both in life and in her music - while her live performance is a spectacle to behold.
