Music, technology and fashion to be celebrated by Burberry

The opening of a new flagship Burberry store in China will see organizers of an event to promote the opening of the store harnessing the best elements of British technology, music and fashion.

British rockers, Keane, are said to be taking part in the event which is due to take place in Beijing on April 13.

It is reported that the event will be using a combination of different mediums including hologram technology, music, models and animation with the audio visual experience being broadcast form the sound stage at the Beijing Television Centre.

Burberry chief creative officer, Christopher Bailey said: “It is a huge privilege to be flying the flag for Britain in the magnificent city of Beijing, connecting all our global communities to celebrate everything Burberry represents today from music to heritage and innovation.”

Tom Chaplin, the lead singer of Keane, said: “I met Christopher Bailey a few years ago. He's a big fan of Keane and I am a big fan of what he dos for Burberry, so we hit it off.”

He added: “Christopher suggested that we should team up to create an incredible event combining music, new technology and fashion in one of the world's most vibrant and exciting cities, Beijing. It'll be our first trip to China,and we hope to put on a show that will surprise and delight the folks of that fascinating and brilliant country.”
