UK blues-tinged rockers At The Sun have released their specially commissioned artwork for their debut album Leave Before The Light, while will arrive on Friday 8th March 2019. The band believe that everything about a release is important - the music, the message, and the art - so wanted to put just as much effort into the visuals as they did the music.

To that end they conducted an extensive search for a talented artist, illustrator and colourist, which concluded in a collaboration with freelancer Paulina Vassileva. The band felt her fluid, modern, striking style was perfect to mesh with their driving, effervescent songs.

"We wanted this album to be something special visually so we worked with an amazing artist - Paulina Vassileva - to do a completely hand-drawn and inked album cover" say the group, "It's been an ambitious undertaking but you only get one debut album, so just like we did with the music we wanted to put our all into the design. We've never been a band comfortable to just blend in: we want to stand out in everything we do!"

Along with the first images from the upcoming record the band have dropped a single to give fans a taste of what to expect. The track, Lay It On Me, can be heard here: .be">

"Lay It On Me was one of those songs that just flowed naturally during the writing session for the new album,” explains the band, “From the first riff to the fist-pumping ending, this track really encompasses everything we love as a band. We couldn't think of a better song to bring a close to such an amazing year for us as 2018 and set everything up for the release of 'Leave Before the Light' in 2019!"

The five piece are led by vocalist Harry Dale, backed up by Alex Matthews (Bass), Chet Jogia (Lead Guitar), Craig Steen (Drums) and Kieron Heavens (Rhythm Guitar). They released their debut EP in 2017 which led to radio play on the likes of Planet Rock, Hard Rock Hell, Total Rock and others. They've built a strong following around the UK by meeting and engaging with fans eveywhere they go - it's not just about the time on stage. Frontman Dale elaborates, "We want fans to be the driving force for the band, including them in the journey all the way, so we are all one with the music."

At The Sun came third in 2018's Hard Rock Hell 'Highway To Hell' competition - which initially included over 200 bands - leading them to a slot at the live final at the O2 Academy Sheffield. The group are currently planning their biggest headline tour yet to coincide with the release of the debut album, aiming to hit more cities and meet more people than ever before.
