Lancashire based band Record Street started 2019 on a high when they flew to Denmark last Saturday. The Indie-rock four piece, consisting of three Bannister brothers (Lewis, Danny, Brandon) along with their good friend Josh Ashworth, travelled to Sonne Studios in Copenhagen to complete their debut album.

Having already gained a great local following, Record Street recently found themselves playing larger venues, attracting the attention of influential promoters and managers. With the band expanding their reach, this put them on the map for bigger gigs and festivals across the UK, and ultimately being offered the opportunity to record in Copenhagen.

Once their debut album is released, a European tour is planned to follow. In 2018 they did embark on a brief tour which included dates in Manchester, London, Torquay and Amsterdam. Record Street has also been performing regular support slots for well known, signed acts including The Wholls.

Nicklas Sonne, the Producer and engineer behind Sonne Studios, is set to undertake all aspects of the recording and production of their debut album. In addition to running an impressive studio, Nicklas also fronts the popular Danish metal band Defecto.

A distinctive feature of Record Street is the ‘three brother novelty’, sure to catch the attention of the public. However, It also seems the Indie Rock-n-Rollers could have picked up a few high-profile fans too! Whilst the Hollywood Vampires were touring last June, Johnny Depp appeared and performed on stage at the Manchester MEN wearing a Record Street T-shirt.

The band posted on their Facebook page that they're excited to see the results of this latest venture.

Record Street are:

Lewis Bannister - Lead Vocals/Rhythm Guitar

Josh Ashworth - Lead Guitar

Brandon Bannister - Bass, BV

Danny Bannister - Drums, BV
