Burning Rain, the group founded by guitarist Doug Aldrich (Dead Daisies, Revolution Saints, ex-Whitesnake, Dio) and vocalist Keith St. John (Montrose, Kingdom Come), have announced they will release their second album on March 22nd via Frontiers Music srl. Face The Music is the group's fourth album, the follow up to 2013's Epic Obsession.

Aldrich and St. John are joined this time by Blas Elias (Slaughter) on drums and bassist Brad Lang (Y&T) for blues driven hard rock record that reportedly evokes the 70's hard rock scene while staying true to the band's sound. The record is preceded by a single, Midnight Train, which is out now. Check out the video here: youtu.be/JXjmHNQV03M

“It’s been some time since the last BR record, and we wanted to come out swinging!" says Aldrich when asked about the choice of single, "‘Midnight Train’ encompasses the sound of Burning Rain. It sounds fresh and heavy. I thought it was a cool lead-off track to reintroduce the band. People normally have different ideas about favourite songs and there are a number of tracks that could have been first, but we just went with ‘Midnight Train’.”

Burning Rain was initially formed by Aldrich and St. John in 1998. They released they're self-titled debut album in 1999 to a small but positive response. The following year's 'Pleasure To Burn' was a more mature, but still heavy rock record that garnered even bigger plaudits. It took a while for the third album to materialise as Aldrich joined first Dio, then Whitesnake and St. John worked with guitar legend Ronnie Montrose, while this new album has been delayed by Aldrich's continued work with the Dead Daisies.

Despite his many commitments there may also be some live shows in the future, with Aldrich saying recently, "I would love to do that. The Dead Daisies has a plan that starts in May, I believe, so we'll probably just do some promotion first. And then when The Daisies has a break, I can book some Burning Rain shows. It's a great group of guys and the new songs are gonna be really fun to play live."
