One of the most talked about idependant record labels in the world today, Golden Robot Records, are celebrating a great start to 2019 with the signing of iconic guitarist Gilby Clarke. The six stringer is best known for his stint in Guns N Roses after replacing Izzy Stradlin during the band's Use Your Illusion era in the early 1990s. Aside from this he has had a sterling career and will release 'The Gospel Truth' - his first solo album in 15 years - via Golden Robot later this year.

Clarke recently discussed his upcoming album with Gibson Guitars at NAMM 2019 in Los Angeles, watch the interview here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFnVXj5JyCg.

Of his new label he had this to say, “I am so happy to be a part of the Golden Robot family for my new solo record. I use the word family because I feel like I found a home. We share the same passion for Rock n Roll! Rock N Roll is alive n’ well & together we will turn it up loud!”

Clarke came to Hollywood from Cleveland at the age of 17. He found work as a session player and ghost writer for former Runaway's manager Kim Fowley before joining the band Candy then moving on to play with hard-rockers Kill For Thrills as well as being a songwriter for Virgin Records. He joined Guns N Roses in 1991 at Slash's request and appeared on The Spaghetti Incident, Live Era '88-'91 and The Greatest Hits albums before the band fell apart in the mid 90's.

He later received acclaim for solo albums like Pawnshop Guitars, The Hangover and Rubber and also toured with Slash's Snakepit, The MC5 and Heart. In 2012 he played with Kings Of Chaos which included GNR members Matt Sorum and Duff McKagan as well as an all-star rotating group of legends like Glenn Hughes, Steven Tyler and Joe Elliot. The same year he performed with his former GNR bandmates as they were inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame.

His new album features drummers Kenny Aronoff (Chickenfoot, John Mellancamp) and Stephen Perkins (Jane’s Addiction, Infectious Grooves) and is said to feature plenty of 'fist-pumping rock ’n’ roll songs with fat choruses' while being a mash up of the styles of Keith Richards, BB King and Johnny Thunders.

Austrailian label Golden Robot records recently announced the signing of bone-crushing power trio Raveneye and also include on their roster GNR keyboardist Dizzy Reed, Puddle Of Mudd and Rose Tattoo amongst many others.

I couldn’t be happier to sign such an incredible artist like Gilby Clarke to our GRR international roster' says Mark Alexander-Erber, Golden Robot Entertainment Group Founder and President. 'He is totally authentic through and through. He brings such a wealth of experience to his songwriting, playing and producing and I know the world is ready for his new solo album which is a long time coming. It is an honour to release this record."
