Archie Faulks has released his brand new single ‘Hung Up’. To mark the release Archie has announced a full UK headline tour in April. Tickets are available now www.archiefaulks.co.uk

‘Hung Up’ is a pensive look back on the past, yet delivers an upbeat glimmer of hope for the future.

The single premiered with Clash as their ‘Track Of The Day’ who said, “Archie Faulks is able to match the bitter to the sweet. Able to tackle some of the most complex emotional issues in his life, his work nonetheless has a sparkling melodic touch. Take new single 'Hung Up'. A song about disappoint, and being able to move past an experience of failure, it confronts a darker moment in Archie's life. Yet it's delivered with a sunshine melodic flair, with a neat twist in the chorus that continually surges towards the optimistic.”

Regarding the single Archie says, “‘Hung Up’ is a song about not being able to get over the disappointments of the past. It’s easy to keep replaying these events, isolating different factors to blame for their failure while, conveniently, ignoring your own part in their demise.

“You can’t hide from your own truth; the only way to improve is acceptance and then working out the best way of dealing with it. This song was my way of trying, still to be decided if successfully or not, with dealing with certain truths which I had been hiding from for many years of my life.”

‘Hung Up’ sees Archie deliver his brightest sound yet, channelling a pop sensibility into his enthralling songwriting. The new single follows the release of his debut single ‘It Rains’ and ‘Blackout’ in 2018. Both songs proved hits at radio with support coming from Radio 1 and Radio X, while they clocked up over a million streams across Apple Music & Spotify.

The songs are a taste of Archie’s forthcoming debut album, which fans have been treated to a sneak preview of during his touring last year. Archie played his first shows in the US, toured Europe with Isaac Gracie and Rue Royale, and sold out his headline shows at London’s St Pancras Old Church & Servant Jazz Quarters.

Archie is hitting the road again in April for his first ever headline tour. He will play seven dates across the country, starting at The Jacaranda, Liverpool on April 13th and finishing at London’s Camden Assembly on April 23rd. Archie has also been announced to play The Great Escape Festival on May 10th.
