Top instrumental musician Tal Wilkenfeld is branching out with her debut vocal album which is released next week. 'Love Remains' will be issued on March 15th via BMG. The album was recorded at EastWest Studios in Los Angeles and co-produced with Paul Stacey (Oasis, The Kooks, Black Crowes).

The album was exec-produced by Wilkenfeld's long-time friend Jackson Browne and features guest appearances from the likes of guitarist Blake Mills (John Legend), keyboardists Benmont Tench (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers) & Zak Rae ( Alanis Morissette, Lana Del Rey) and drummer Jeremy Stacey (Ryan Adams, Eric Clapton).

The 10-song collection explores love, loss, and life through a poetic blend of Tal’s lyrics, storytelling and masterful musicianship. Wilkenfeld recently premiered the angst-filled anthem Killing Me via Billboard. Built on thick, supple bass playing and thumping drums the track showcases her evocative, full vocals with expressive lyrics. The artist recently played a brace of sold-out shows at Los Angeles' Moroccan Lounge and New York's Mercury Lounge where she previewed songs from the album along with her three piece band: drummer Tamir Barzilay, guitarist Owen Barry and keyboardist Chris Price. Wilkenfeld first came to widespread attention when she joined guitar legend Jeff Beck as his bass player in 2007, at the age of only 21. In a 2009 interview Beck said, "It's interesting to have some amazing players in my band like Tal, who is about, you know half, a quarter of the age of either Vinnie [Colaiuta, drums] or me. She's a genius. She will pick up mistakes that we, even Vinnie and I, miss. So she's a great anchor as well."

Wilkenfeld continued to play with Beck for many years, and has also made guest appearances with everyone from Mick Jagger to Prine and The Allman Brothers. She began her solo career in 2016 with the single Corner Painer which also featured Blake Mills and Benmont Tench. Now with 'Love Remains' she's breaking into whole new areas with a sophisticated, rich body of work. As Jackson Browne commented, “I can't think of another instrumentalist that has ventured into the area that Tal now has, when it comes to writing and singing songs from her own experience.”
