The Darkness has released a new video marking the bands forthcoming album 'Easter Is Cancelled', due in October. The new message posted on Youtube today features a comical tudoresque influenced video of lead singer Justin Hawkins walking through the English countryside, calling despair on the world in recent times. 

Classical music featured in the background and references to codpieces and their tight costumes also adds to the videos comedy value.

They explain in their video:

“We are men in tight costumes and we are ready to fight with every weapon that the forefathers have bequeathed: The guitar axe, the drum hammer, the bejewelled codpiece, the banshee wail of righteous anger…“Cometh the time, cometh the band, we are The Darkness!” 

As they explain in their hard-hitting video, they are men in tight costumes, ready to fight the power-drunk clowns who cast a shadow of despair across the land.They will not be gagged by the reeking stench of pious indifference that pours from the orifices of these clown-lords.
