Scottish blues/rock two-piece have just dropped the video for the first single from their debut album, which itself will be released later this year. The song is called 'Paper Planes' and is one of thirteen tracks that will appear on their debut album 'Song House Of The Forest Men.'

'Paper Planes' finds the band on typically uncompromising form with the duo of Leo and Sal weaving together a catchy, dynamic track built on thundering drums (Sal) and visceral slide guitar (Leo). As crushing as the song can be there's also plenty of light and shade, with a smooth breakdown which let's Leo's vocals come through strongly.

Accompanying the song is a a fun, well-put-together video which weaves in old-timey clips of early airplane flights alongside the band performing the song in era-appropriate costumes - albeit with slightly suspect moustaches! The song ramps up as Leo smashes a guitar which is then set alight by the impact of a paper plane, nicely linking to the chorus line 'Time stops, tables turn, paper planes are gonna burn.' The video was put together by Brooke Heasman Photography, working with the band.

'We chose 'Paper Planes' to be the first single to put out from the album as we thought it encompasses where we are right now as a band' says singer/guitarist Leo, 'It's similar in style to our past material whilst still allowing a glimpse into the direction that we are taking with this album.'

"It was also the obvious choice for us to use for a video, something we haven't done before' he goes on, "The song is pretty catchy and the structure lent itself to many creative possibilities. In the end we decided to link the line 'Paper Planes are gonna burn' to the failed attempts at aviation in years past. If you build planes made from paper, of course they are going to crash and burn. We built the concept of the video around that idea - also it gave us an opportunity to smash things up and set things on fire!"

The upcoming album was recorded by the band themselves in central Scotland late last year and is due to arrive mid-summer, with a release date and album launch details expected shortly. It was self-produced by the group and mastered by Pete Maher (U2/Jack White/Pixies). The record will be the band's full length debut and follows last year's short EP Take My Picture, and 2017's seven-track release, Seven Sounds.
