British sweetheart Stacey Solomon, who shot to fame after her appearance on the X Factor, is being allegedly being sued by her former agents as the singer finds herself in the middle of a legal argument over management terms for the talented singer.
Stacey is now being represented by PR mogul Max Clifford and he is claiming that her former management company, Modest Management, did nothing to help further her career while she has flourished under his guidance
However Modest Management claim that Stacey Solomon broke her legally binding contract when she left them and moved to Max Clifford and are now launching a bid for damages to compensate them for this breach in the contract.
Modest Management, who also manage other X Factor stars including Matt Cardle and Rebecca Ferguson, are looking for 20% of the Stacey's earnings which would include profits made from the sale of her autobiography which is due to be released next month.
Max Clifford said that Stacey had done nothing wrong in leaving the management company and denied that she had parted company with her agents via a test message.
Max Clifford said: “Stacey sat down face to face with them and explained why she wanted out in January. She was told she had to put it in writing and she did. She wanted to sort it out in the fairest fashion. She just felt the time was right to move on.”
Clifford added: “They were doing nothing for her. Nothing was happening. We've got her signed up with Iceland, she's got a TV role and she's negotiating a record contract. We're hoping to have an album out by the end of the year.”
