Just last week the Jamaican musical artist Vybz Kartel dropped another reggae hip hop fusion song that we can dance to all summer long.

The artist’s newest song “Loving Every Moment” produced on TJ Records sheds light on the silver lining in Vybz life despite the ostensible challenges he has faced along the way.

The award-winning Vybz Kartel already has a stacked resume. Nearly a decade ago his song “Romping Shop” made it Billboard Top 100 Singles. His track “Dollar Sign” also regularly made an appearance on urban radio stations in the United States. And we can’t forget Vybz Kartel’s collaborations with several music legends in the industry from Rihanna to Jay Z  and even Major Lazor. The iconic hip hop music veteran Drake has even noted Kartel as one of his biggest inspirations. Unfortunately, towards the end of 2011, Vybz Kartel came to a roadblock. He was arrested and sent to jail with multiple charges. By 2014, Kartel was sentenced to life imprisonment and would only be eligible for parole after 35 years Nevertheless, that did not stop his motivation to share his story with the rest of the world. While in prison he was able to publish his book The Voice Of The Jamaican Ghetto: Incarcerated but not Silenced and still release music. With the recent release of his song “Loving Every Moment” we see that Vybz has not let his obstacles get in the way of his music and has still found a way to be a positive force in reggae and dancehall music.
