The new band led by Devon Allman and Duane Betts will release their highly anticipated first album digitally on Friday 28th June, and on CD/vinyl on Friday 12th July via BMG.

The record, titled 'Down To The River' will see the pair and their five-piece band ripping through nine tracks that proudly carry on the legacy of the duo's shared musical heritage while also taking the music forward.

Both men's fathers were, of course, members of the iconic Allman Brother's Band. Devon's father Gregg was the lead singer/keyboardist throughout their history (and his celebrated, tragic uncle Duane was the group's slide guitar master before his untimely passing at a young age), meanwhile Duane Betts' dad Dickie was one of the legendary Southern rock group's longest-serving guitarists.

As such this new collaboration feels like a natural way of continuing the tradition. The group released their first single, 'All Night' back in May. Watch the video for it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=284&v=hjxm-wDoeMk

Alongside the pair is a crack line-up including Berry Duane Oakley - bass, vocals, Johnny Stachela - guitar, vocals, John Ginty - keyboards, R Scott Bryan - percussion, vocals and John Lum - drums. The album also features special guest appearances by Peter Levin (Gregg Allman's Hammond B3 player) and Chuck Leavell (former Allman Brothers Band keyboardist and current Rolling Stones keyboardist). It was recorded at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio in Muscle Shoals, AL and produced by Grammy Award winning Matt Ross-Spang (Jason Isbell, Margo Price, John Prine and Elvis Presley).

The band have already begun a world-wide tour to support the album. It's estimated that the trek will comprise around 200 shows, including two dates in the UK - at Ramblin’ Man Fair on Saturday 20th July and the Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London on Saturday 3rd August.
