Flame haired singer Florence Welch, the lead singer with Florence and the Machine, has spoken out about her lack of Tweeting stating that she would rather be “enjoying the moment” than Tweeting about what is going on in her life.
In an interview with You Magazine the eccentric singer said that she did have her own twitter account on the micro blogging site but would only update fans and followers as an when she could and would not potentially miss something great going on in her life because she as too busy tweeting to notice.
In the interview Florence said: “I can only manage about one tweet a month, It is not that I don't want to, it is just that when I am in a situation where I am doing something amazing it is a shame – rather rude – to bring out my phone and start tweeting.”
The singer then went on to say: “I think a lot of people miss out on enjoying the moment because they are so busy trying to communicate it to the world. And I want to keep some moments to myself.”
While Florence may shy away from the world of Twitter other stars have used the social networking tool to promote everything from new releases to news of the births of babies and although Florence Welch may feel that she wants to make sure she is enjoying the moment, the majority of stars are sharing that moment with their fans.
