The Edinburgh Blues Club - the highly successful organisation dedicated to bringing the best in blues and rock music to Scotland's capital city - have just released details of six new gigs which will take their program through to spring 2020.

As always the concerts feature a tremendous mix of talent based in the blues genre, and most will take place at the EBC's regular home of The Voodoo Rooms on West Register Street, with one show at a new venue for the club, The Traverse Theatre.

The new concerts will include headline shows from top artists Seth Rosenbloom, Rebecca Downes, Billy Branch, The Achievers, The Stumble and Kai Strauss while there will be support from a variety of local acts like Dixie Fried and Cow Cow Boogie.

The latest line up additions add to the club's already announced Autumn/Winter 2019 program which kicks off on 12th September with the RUF Blues Caravan, followed by Geoff Achison & The UK Soul Diggers on September 21st and Martin Harley on October 5th. All are at Voodoo Rooms. Then on Thursday November 21st venerable UK blues stalwarts Dr Feelgood will take the stage at Stramash with support from excellent Aberdonians The Gerry Jablonski Band.

The newly announced gigs begin on 8th December as Waltham, Massachusetts born guitarist/vocalist Seth Rosenbloom comes to Edinburgh on the back of his acclaimed self-titled EP. He's been hailed by The Boston Globe as “a searing blues-rock guitarist,” and The Noise Boston as a musician who “makes his guitar growl and has a voice to match.” Support will come from The Blind Lemon Gators - the latest project from one of the UK's best vocalists, Grieg Taylor.

Into 2020 and Chicago bluesman Billy Branch will bring his band Sons Of The Blues to The Traverse Theatre on 18th January in an evening also featuring Marion Diaz and Giles Robson. On February 22nd powerful blues/rock vocalist from Birmingham UK, Rebecca Downes will bring her band to The Voodoo Rooms, supported by Cow Cow Boogie while Preston-based R&B group The Stumble will headline on March 14th with local hard-hitting two-piece Dixie Fried opening the evening.

The superb EBC program for early 2020 then concludes with The Achievers and Shiverin' Sheiks at The Voodoo Rooms on April 4th, followed by one of Germany's top blues musician's, Kai Strauss, who brings his Electric Blues Allstars to Edinburgh on May 23rd. Support comes from Paul Gemmel & The Black Magic Blues Band.

Once again the EBC have surpassed themselves in putting together a sterling line-up of artists with something for every blues/rock fan.
