It is being reported that Ashley Cole, more usually known for his performances on the pitch with Chelsea FC, is looking to make his way in to the music industry and is to be helped on his journey by none other than US rapper Jay-Z.

According to The Sun newspaper Ashley Cole has been in talks with Jay-Z to try and pick up some top hints and tips on how to make it big in the music industry.

However, there is no need for too much alarm as Ashley Cole is said to be looking at making a financial investment in the industry rather than picking up the microphone himself to create his own hit record.

The Sun report that the music millionaire and the sporting star have been talking dollars and pounds and where best to invest within the industry at the moment.

According to The Sun: “Ash is a big hip hop fan and is mates with rappers like Tinchy Stryder so it's no surprise that he wants to work with Jay-Z.

“After spending years married to Cheryl Cole he knows a bit about the business too. He's still got a good few years playing ahead of him but is looking ahead to what he will do when he leaves the game, “ the source told The Sun.
