The cast of the hit US television series Glee are said to be performing a version of the Cheryl Cole hit Parachute on the show.
According to The Sun newspaper the creator of the series, Ryan Murphy, is keen to feature the star in the series during an episode in the third series of Glee.
A source told the paper: “Ryan thinks Cheryl is brilliant and he loves the song. If this works out it would be a dream come true for Cheryl.
“Glee is one of the biggest show in America – you can't buy publicity like that. This news could be just the thing to convince X Factor bosses to finally confirm her publicity for the American show.”
The source added: “If she appears on both (the X Factor US and Glee) it's a recipe for global superstardom.”
There is still no word on who will be filling the final spots as judges on the US version of the X Factor although Simon Cowell will be concentrating on the show for its first season in the states and will be taking a back seat from the UK version this year.
For months there has been speculation as to if Cheryl Cole, who has become a household favourite in the UK following her appearance on the show, will be joining Simon Cowell as it is reported that TV bosses are worried that the American audience will be unable to understand her because of her strong northern accent.
An announcement as to who the judges will be on the show, which will be aired on TV in the autumn, is due to be made on May 6.
