Marina has announced that her forthcoming EP – an acoustic reworking of a set of tracks from her Love + Fear album released earlier this year – will be out in the UK on September 13th.
The five track EP – titled Love + Fear Acoustic – will be accompanied by tour dates in the UK this autumn.
The singer – formerly known as Marina and the Diamonds – has also teased fans by confirming that she has been working on acoustic versions of tracks from her 2015 album Froot, including fan favourite I’m Not Hungry Anymore that didn’t make it onto the final release.
Writing on her official Facebook page, Marina said: “For anyone who is a more casual type of fan, this was a song on Froot that didn’t make it. It should have been on there but I never got the production right.
“Anyway... I’ll be playing it for you on The Love + Fear tour. It was a special song for me and I know it is for a lot of you too. I’ve been working like crazy on some fun new projects recently but I’ll try and get it on Spotify for you soon because [yo]u deserve good things.
“Whilst I’m on the subject of I’m Not Hungry Anymore I wanted to share some thoughts I have on creativity. When I think of my albums I think of how each one helped me in different stages of my life. Froot and Love + Fear had very high emotional and spiritual pay-offs for me even though they probably sold less than my first two.
“The Family Jewels and Electra Heart helped me exorcise some demons that I needed to get out of my mind. They really helped me work through my thoughts in a safe and playful way. Anyway, what I’m saying is each album is like a souvenir from a journey.”
