In a genre that is being increasingly dominated by electronic dance beats and power ballads, Dennis Lloyd has offered a fresh take on pop music through his latest groovy number, ‘Wild West’.

Set to be featured on this year’s EA Sports FIFA 20 soundtrack, the tune features the best of Dennis Lloyd’s talents, encompassing both his remarkable vocal range as well as his willingness to incorporate a variety of genres and styles into his sound. Beginning with gentle piano riffs and a sensual vocal run, courtesy of Lloyd’s high-pitched ability, the track goes on to dabble in jazz and rap-based reggae with equal keenness. 

Speaking on the song’s multilayered play on genre and form, Lloyd says, “I feel as if ‘Wild West’ is completely different sonically to anything else I’ve ever released before combining elements of Hip Hop production, a rock guitar solo and disco-inspired vocals in the chorus. To have a song included in the FIFA soundtrack has been a dream of mine since I started making music. So excited for the fans to hear this one.” 

This intriguing mix of tones and traits demonstrates why Dennis Lloyd is more than worthy to be considered a threat to the contemporary pop blend: he is sultry, he is feisty, he can hit the notes and he can craft deliciously sensational tracks that can be spun through any and all occasions.
