Despite being dropped from the US version of the X Factor the American dream is far from over for British sweetheart Cheryl Cole according to Black Eyed Peas member Will.i.am.

According to Will.i.am there are many more opportunities for Cheryl Cole in the US apart from X Factor.

He told Heat Magazine: “The X Factor is not the only way for Cheryl to break the US, it's not like it's the only show on TV.”
Will.i.am added: “And remember that Cheryl is a recording artist first. Over the next few months she's potentially going to be working with artists like Rihanna, Katy Perry, Usher and, of course, the Peas.”

There has still been no official line from the X Factor US as to why Cheryl Cole was dumped off the show although it is has been suggested that it was because of a combination of her poor chemistry between herself and her fellow judge Paula Abdul and due to her strong Geordie accent which TV bosses felt was not suitable for American audiences.

While controversy about the subsequent relationship between Cole and X Factor boss Simon Cowell has been central to rumours behind Cole not taking up her position once again on the UK version of the X Factor Will.i am believes that Cheryl will come out the other side of these recent problems.

He said: “It is easy to imagine Simon as this one man empire but that is not the case. He has people he needs to answer to and sometimes his hands are going to be tied. That's a guy who cares about her.”

Will.i.am added: “ she has been through rougher things than this, so this is going to be no problem for her. Don't be surprised if you see her on the British panel again.”
