As music fans need and demand for concert tickets grow, supermarket chains step up to provide the latest tickets. Gone are the days when you had to be in the know to be able to get tickets for the hottest concerts it seems as Tesco have announced that they will be selling concert tickets, without any charges, via their online site.
The UK supermarket have launched the service by offering cut price concert tickets for open air shows taking place across the UK this summer including for Olly Murs and Eliza Doolittle.
The tickets are cheaper than from other vendors because the supermarket has decided not to add the usual charges for their sales services including booking fees and postage charges.
A spokesman for Tescos said: “We know customers want to buy tickets for live music events but are often faced with unexpected and additional fees.”
This new “simple one ticket, one price, no hidden costs” approach to concert ticket selling is sure to be a hit with music fans looking to see their favourite artists for less money and Tesco are said to be extending the tickets on offer to include concerts by Alexandra Burke, Scouting for Girls, Scissor Sister, Boyzone, Blondie, and the Beach Boys.
This is the first time that Tesco have ventured into the world of ticket sales although they have partnered up with those in the music industry before as they released albums by Nadine Coyle from Girls Aloud and Faithless.
Tickets for the concerts are said to be priced at between £12 and £33 and are thought to be going to be in high demand as they go on sale online.
