There has been a lot of excitement on social media over the past few weeks as multi-platinum selling band Alien Ant Farm teams up with South African born producer / songwriter, Esjay Jones (www.esjayjones.com) for the recording of their new 4-song EP.
Production / Engineer duo, Esjay Jones and Lucas D’Angelo partnered with audio pioneers SLATE DIGITAL and GENELEC, INC to build a temporary recording studio in the home of AAF Drummer, Mike Cosgrove in Riverside, CA. Dryden Mitchell exclaims “We’ve worked in some of the biggest studio’s with the world’s best engineers and I’ve never heard drum tones like this!”
“Some of my favorite records were not recorded in conventional studios” said Esjay, “drawing inspiration from albums like Incubus Morning View and other favorites from the early 2000’s, we wanted to harness a creative atmosphere and capture the sonic and youthful energy of the band where they are most comfortable” Esjay exclaims “The natural push and pull of the band was extremely important to us - records are too perfect these days, and we didn’t want that”
The album will be mixed by Lucas D’Angelo in France and released early 2020 with media / production partners, SLS Event Group.
