According to reports Apple have managed to secure the rights to be able to stream music from all of the four big record labels in the industry.

The news comes as Apple prepares to launch the iCloud service and would effectively mean that users of the iCloud would not have any restrictions on which artists they choose to stream via the iCloud.

Reports from the Wall Street Journal have stated that Apple have already previously completed the deals with EMI, Sony and Warner Bros and have now managed to sign up Universal to the cloud service.

While it seems that the news of Universal joining the Apple iCloud can mark the start of a broad service for all music lovers the team at Apple still need to overcome the problem of working out an agreement with music publishers, the people who control the copyrights to tunes, melodies and lyrics of songs.

The Wall Street Journal is stating that negotiations in this department are not so far ahead and could leave it very tight for everything to be in place before the official launch of the iCloud service next week.
